I posted here about the amazing deal being run at Udder Covers for a FREE cover but you had to pay shipping. A bunch of you were giddy with delight but I got a comment from a reader who'd heard it was a scam. As I'd heard of it from somewhere reputable and have since looked into it, I was surprised. I googled and although articles came up, I struggled to find anything concrete either way. I even went to my go-to: snopes.com (probably not the best place for this kind of thing but worth a shot!) In the middle of research I found this: their parent company Milk Bands LLC has an A rating at BBB and only 3 complaints. I guess I'm still undecided.....I'm not sure where all the claims came from but I just wanted you guys to be informed. I think $8.95 for a nursing cover is a good deal and although it may not be as nice as one of the $30, it won't cost you that either!
Please let me know by leaving a comment if anyone has had any problems. I want to be careful whom I recommend....

I got one a while back and had no problem with the company. The cover was delivered very quickly. I will add that they aren't the best quality(thin fabric, etc)...but, it does do a good job keeping things covered up.
This has been brought up in numerous forums that I'm a part of always ending up with no one has had any problems. It looks like the complaints may have been about a company that used a similar name or something in the past. I have used the deal myself, and while I would never pay full price for the product, I would pay the amount of shipping requested. I used a Credit Card the first time and have never had a fradulent charge to it. They are having a similar deal again and I used paypal this time.
I purchased a nursing cover for my sister about 8 months ago when I read about this deal elsewhere. I received it without the slightest problem and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to others wanting a good deal:) Thanks for trying to keep everything on the up and up!

Clair - I had ordered from Udder Covers about two months ago with another free code I found on another blog. I bought one of the more expensive covers and applied the discount to it, so including shipping I think I paid $15.
I did receive exactly what I ordered... but it took WEEKS to get to me. I had ordered it for a baby gift and after 3-4 weeks I was wondering if it would get here on time, if at all!
So, that's all I can say about it - looked nice (didn't open up the packages), got what I ordered, but S.L.O.W. :)
I ordered one, so I will let you know how it is when it gets here!

I ordered myself an udder cover probably about a month ago. It took longer than I thought for it to be shipped (supposedly it was on back-order) but I did end up getting it and the quality of it seems great! I won't be using it till next year, but I'm a sewer myself and after seeing the thing in person, I don't think I could have made as nice a cover as this one for less than $9!
I ordered a "free" one over a year ago and I think the shipping was $5.95. I received it, and like it well enough. It isn't the best quality, but it works well enough for me! Especially for just $5.95! My favorite part: it is very lightweight so my baby doesn't get super hot. Least favorite part: the rings don't effectively hold the strap in place, so I tied a knot in it to fix that problem. It isn't as big, either, so I use a blanket under my baby and over my embarrassing post-partum belly! All in all I think it is a good deal. Sorry, was that too much info?!?!
I ordered one about two weeks ago. It took a week to get here and they charged me only for the shipping.
This is not a scam. I got one awhile back (about two months ago) and received it in the mail quickly. Great turnaround.
I saw this offer on another site last year and gave it to my cousin who was pregnant. She received it no problem and said it worked well. It looked a little thinner than my Hooter Hider (which I found at Target on 50% off clearance for $15) but for the price it was great.
I ordered a "free" udder cover with a different code months ago while I was still pregnant. Although I can't remember how long it took to ship, I did receive it & I use it all the time. I ordered one this time too & had my mom & sister order one as well! I didn't have any trouble the last time although I'm a little concerned this time because I never received a confirmation email. Maybe it's because the item I ordered is on backorder, but I didn't notice it at the time of purchase (my mom pointed it out to me when she was on the site). I agree with the others that it's not the best quality (I can't believe anyone would pay 30+ for it) but it gets the job done! At the same time I have to say that the selections this time were completely different than the last time I ordered, so maybe these ones will be nicer. Either way I don't think it's a scam & I sure hope it isn't because I'm looking forward to having a few extra covers around!

I just wanted to let you know that I ordered this on Monday, because of your posting. And after I ordered, I started doing some research and also saw all the bad comments and got a little worried. But I just wanted to let you know I got my order in the mail TODAY! I'm not going to open it because it is a gift, so I don't know the quality of it. But I'm glad that I received it so quickly!
I also ordered one of these, based on this post, as a shower gift. It came in the mail in just a couple of days! I like the pattern, but cannot judge the quality as I will not be using it myself.
